My dad too had a stroke, was paralyzed on the right side and could hardly talk. Firstly seeing your parent go through that is hard and when they finally pass there are so many mixed feelings- it's for the best but you still wish they were here kind of thing.
For me, I didn't cry for months after my dad passed. It's not because I didn't love him it is because I was numb. Now I am experience the grief full force.
Understand that there is no proper way to grieve. You will do it on your time and on your terms. You will go through an array of emotions or none at all. Be gentle with yourself but remember you still have to live your life.
I wish you so much comfort in this hard time.
Take care.
