I have lost both my parents as well. My only sibling before them. First my sister, then my mom, then my dad. In different years.
For me dad's death was the hardest. Mom was in dementia, so I was saying good by to her for a long time. It may be that your mom and my dad were hard for us respectively because we were closer to them, or because they were the last link to our childhood. Or perhaps a bit of both.
Birthdays, holidays and other special events will always be hard, but as timepasses it gets easier. Well, less hard may be a better way to phrase it.
Please know that you always have this site to come to and vent. I found that a bereavement class was very helpful for me, perhaps you can find one in your community.
Gentle hugs
Gentle hugs to you too.
I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you find peace and understanding in your difficult time. I hope you find support and guidance to guide you down a lonely path. I also pray your wrist is ok and it heals for you. God bless, Lisa

As time passed, my wife has shared her feelings with me. She is mostly now at the point where she can feel happy when things happen that she wishes she could have shared with her dad. Our son got a PhD in a technical field, and her dad would have beamed from ear to ear about that. That made my wife smile to think of that, where as I still get sad when I experience things that I wish I could have shard with my dad.
So we can get there. As time passes there will be more happy thoughts than sad ones.
Gentle hugs
