i try not to go back to that day in may of 2008 but my mind seldom wonders back on that day i was so upset i could not wake my friend i called the ambulance they came out to my home they had to resusatute him i was so upset not coping with things well i called people i throught i could depend on for help and support i would have never thought one of my family members would have called his ex wife she came to the hospital the first thing she says to me is did you ever want to apolize she was with her male friend first of all why would you come to the hospital and say something like that and you are no longer married and you are with your companion do you think i am wrong for feeling this way should i still be upset with that family member

this day i wonder why would my family member do that and why would she want to be there.that still bothers me i would you feel

I find it very odd that a member of your family would phone the ex-wife. Have you asked them why they did it?

As to the ex-wife, I wouldn't take it too much to heart. I'm guessing that she was probably in shock herself.

This woman acted very selfishly towards you probably because she had her own pain. She is not a good friend but try to let it go. People make mistakes, don't carry this extra pain. My brother died and my sister in law wants only to exclude me. It is unfortunate. But I don't need to rely on her for anything, really. I hope you can let this go. Focus on those who are compassionate to you.

I am so sorry that you carry this extra burden. It is often that X's say or do inappropriate things...probably part of the reason they are X's. I know I had so many moments I cannot count getting angry with my husbands X. I will eventually work up to letting this go as I do not want to carry this with me as it is only me that will suffer in the long run. As for your relative, I would either have a gentle conversation to get this hurt off your shoulders if you are close, or I would let just know that different people can be trusted with different information.

I am unable to know exactly how it would feel in your situation. I do know that grief persists when we beat ourselves up for what we do, say, do not say, and when we do not act according to expectations we place on ourselves.

Any ex would bother me, as a matter of fact--bother me ALOT. And it would hurt my heart immensely if I felt betrayed by a family member. I would spend endless hours thinking and guessing "why", but the truth is...I (in this case You) am the one who is negatively affected by these persistent thoughts.

If there is any way you could join a "survivors" support group for those effected my suicide, please do. Or at least consider it sometime in the future. I am certain it would help.

Many questions nag me since the suicide of my friend I\'d known since elementary school (Feb, 2008). No one knows the answers and I wouldn\'t have them before she died because I never knew she was at risk. However, the pain in my heart continues.

Unfortunately people act like idiots when it comes to death. Don\'t take it to heart - you\'re much better than that!
