When you are grieving you need a lot of time alone and you need a great deal of support and friends.Friends are important for this time and how does one be a friend to someone who is grieving? Let me answer this question....The first thing that you must do is to acknowledge that this person is in mourning.It will be awhile for them to even go to a movie.Do not expect this.Do not expect the grieving person to be "over it" in a week or a month.Some people takes time.I am not over Brads death.It will be
6 years in May but I am learning to take one day at a time and the person who is grieving must do this also.Also do not yell or scream at them.If their appearnce goes to hell.This is normal...And it is not up for you to judge them.You are suppose to be a friend and friends must learn to be there for there friends.Let them cry.Crying is a release.Let them....if this upsets you then you are in the wrong business.I still cry over Brad.It is normal.Let the ;[person have their shrines and they should be allowed to have tears.Do not tell them that they cant.If a shrine upsets you...then you have got no reason to be a friend or even in their house.This is Also normal.And if they want to talk about then person...let them.It is not your business to tell them that you do not want to hear about it.Grief is a hard emotion.It must be dealtjh properly.It must be talked about and it must be recognized.And remember that this person will always be in your life and you must and i mean must be there for them no matter what.That is the end of my piece as of tday.Thanks .VAder.

Not only did I lose her, most of her was removed from our home without my full, conscious consent shortly after her passing. Mostly by my mother who thought he was helping me.
This happened because I was so immobilized that I didn't even try to stop her things from being taken as they were carried out right past the chair I would sit in and watch TV.
About 8 months after her passing I realized what had been done. It's been so hard to grieve and process with so much of her having been removed from me. I didn't get to process my loss, considering the day I bought her that blouse, those shoes. Or the day she pissed me off paying 200 for those boots.
