I know it must hurt you.

here is a poem that I had written yrs ago...which is posted on another site...
my love and I had lived together for 3 yrs...when he passed away...and I tried to join him......
Painfully Yours is my pen name
*********************************************
He Died
We had lived together for several years
this man who had captured my heart
then suddenly he became very sick
and all at once our lives fell apart
I watched the man that I had loved
slowly die before my eyes
knowing there was nothing that could be done
I slept by his side and cried and cried
he was only sick a year before he died
and was put in a nursing home for his care
I was told while at work that he had passed away
at 32 , he was the youngest one there
he told me on his deathbed
to move on with my life
and find another man
who would treat me right
saying goodbye to him was so hard to do
whenever I think of him I get tears in my eyes
the love of my life , hard to believe
it\'s been 15 yrs now since he died
Dedicated to Michael K. Andersen
who passed away on March 12, 1990
