For this time of year I put out fall flowers...make my own arrangements...but do what you want. I have never seen halloween decor in a cemetary, but have seen other holiday decor, but I don't believe there is any written rule saying you can or can't.

I saw a program on TV once that showed Halloween decorations in a cemetery, on graves, etc. I think it's perfectly acceptable, especially for a child, and especially if the items are not grotesque.

I'm sure there are those out there who, if dead, would love Halloween decorations on their graves...even gothic or grotesque ones. Personally, those who know me well would guess that putting Day of the Dead art on my grave would be quite appropriate.

I can appreciate you not wanting to offend anyone, but this is really about what you want to do and what would have brought a smile to the face of your loved one.

where my husband is burried people decorate for every holiday, even halloween. its a very large cemetary and lots of halloween decor. you should follow your heart and do what you feel is right.

I don't see anything wrong with it. My brother and sister-in-law lost a baby in 2004 they always put something on Zach's grave. Just like you were saying a little teddy bear or something. People dont mind putting little Christmas trees, Flags or anything else on graves. so why sould anyone have the right to be upset for you putting something like that on a childs grave.

I never have, but it sounds like Nick was a child when he died, and if the holiday was a big deal for him, why not? Where we live, (a cold snowly zone) the cemetary is closed for the year by then. Christmas was a big deal for my MIL and FIN, I'm not sure what if any holidays were a big deal for my folks. Do what you feel you need to do. Rainbow

I think it is perfectly ok. Halloween is one of my fave holidays. Make you and your child happy and decorate
