I found out a few days ago that a dear friend who was almost 100 has died. All weekend, I had premenitions that she was at the end of life. I tried calling but you typically just got her voice mail due to her stage in life.
I could tell the last couple of months that she was getting quieter on the phone and sleeping longer and longer. She was lucky and had loving adult sons and daughters and she had to move in with one of her kids not too long ago. We did some volunteer work together and she was just a positive influence on me, a loving friend to me.
She was old enough to be my mother and a mentor type but a friend. What I mean is her personality served her well through adversity and she kept me positive until the last few years when her demenia started in. I love that woman.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

She sounds like a wonderful woman
May she rest in peace
Big hug and a blessing sent...xo
and steadying support to those privileged with with the nearness to miss her physical presence.
may i add her to my list of inspiration? i will be 84 when the youngest of my 3 current children graduates high school. the idea of parenting teenagers in my 80's is more than a bit daunting. i am actively seeking evidence that it is even possible.
