We still have his clothes, most of them.Mom has given some away to his brother which I don't mind and she's done it bit by bit, a suit here, a jacket there so it's slow But I don't want the wardrobe cleaned out completely, when I open the doors i can get Dad's scent. I dread the day she wants to get rid of them.
We had to sell his car coz there was a loan on it, we cried like babies when they took it. Now I'm so scared of seeing someone driving it.
It's like that;s all that is left of him in the house, I don't want it all gone. I know I have memories but DAMMIT that is not enough. I just want HIM BACK.
I guess I probably havent said anything much helpful here. Don't pressure yourself, do it in tiny doses.
I'm just so sorry for your loss and pain

I think I'm gonna keep some of his jumpers, the one we got him for Christmas, I've already worn a few times, its the kind a girl can get away with wearing and he has some more like that. my Mom said she'd take some aswell.
I have his wedding ring, we waked him at home for 2 days and on the last day I said to my Mom that there was no point in burying him with it, we would most likely regret it later on. I didn't even realise but she went over to him, took it off him and handed it to me. I was so touched and I was also so glad that she was the one who had done it, not anyone from the funeral home. Luckily it fits my thumb and I have not taken it off since and never will. A friend asked me if I would melt it down to make something WTF I thought, no way, it was his wedding ring, it will remain that way forever.
sorry critter, didn't mean to hog your post

I went back to some of the very first posts yesterday. We have so much to learn from one another; those who have already been through this journey have so much to teach us about coping and I thank them all so much for being our guides on this very very difficult path.
Take care ya'll
