You may not notice but you could expressing a emotion too.
grieving can cause forgetfulness and also make you a little out of it.
So your mom and dad are expressing normal grievance.
To ease their pain, if they have not considered bereavement counseling with a group or even talk to someone, it is a option. If they do not want to ask them if they would like to have a family talk night to express their loss. You could do one once a week.
Online there are outlines on what to do.
if that is still not a option ask if you could all pray for each other to find Peace and comfort.
I am Catholic, when my loved ones passed, I needed to do something, so I lit candles for them and prayed for them.
I pray God gives you a inspiration and beautiful Christmas.
God bless
My mom buries herself in work and my dad tries to keep himself busy with golf and watching stocks. We talk about everything, including how we feel, but sometimes we project onto each other in a bad way when we're really lacking something inside (!). It's just the way it is. Thanks though!
We do have a new little guy in the family, my sister's son (1 year old). When he's around, life is sweet and funny again! Unfortunately, my sister and her family live 60 miles away, so getting together every day is logistically impossible. We all feel the withdrawals.
Take your beloved poppy out on walks, try to go to different places if you have dog parks around go to a different one each time.
Find peace in your walks with Poppy and think of your brother with you out on those walks.
They are doing the best they can trying to get a hold of this loss. I never lost a child but I have lost loved ones, my father and sister hit hard. I am accepting their passing better than I am accepting my husbands.
I just could never imagine the loss of a child.
The Lord gives all what we can handle and they are strong in so many ways.
Yes a baby can bring Peace, I know my granddaughter does that for me.
I am not close in distance but...My daughter calls me almost everyday and guess who is on the other end when I answer?
My granddaughter Makayla's happy baby talk jibber jabber, she is starting say Gramma and it is so cute
My daughter says Makayla wanted to call you mom, so I will talk to her for 15 minutes first and then her mom.
If you get your sister to call more and possible get skype, so you could see your nephew online that would really help you and your parents.
