It will be two weeks since Brad has been gone and frankly my feelings are hurt.Brad was leading a double life and for some reason never discussed things with me.Brad did not like to talk and was very withdrawn the past few months. If I talked,he would tell me to shut up and Brad just wasnt a chatty guy.Guys.if you are shy and you dont like to talk...do me a favor...STAY HOME....This whole thing is a nightmare and it reads like a hollywood move..if brad was just so unhappy with me...why didnt he leave? And this to me is the ultimate insult and he insulted me.He knew that Stanley was coming here for months and instead of telling me that he did not want to go...Brad slapped me and others in the face...and I will never forgive him for this...this is just so painful and i am in the first state of grief. But his bills..any suggestions? What shall I tell the landlord?

Give all the bills to the administrator of his estate.

The way it worked here (South Africa) was that I turned all the bills, even the utilities, over to the executors. They were given power of attorney in my sons will to deal with his estate and had access to his funds. All his funds were in their hands until probate. They paid out the necessary funds and subtracted from the final estate. So long as you are mentioned in the will there should be no problem. The executors are going to be paid, quite well, for managing the estate. Let them do the work instead of worrying at a time like this.

Sorry, I didnt read your post carefully enough. If the bills are in your friends name then the estate has to pay them, so long as there are funds in the estate. Anything he would have had to pay for, had he lived, is the estates responsibility. They are his debts not yours. It is the duty of the executors to inform the people concerned about your friends death. It doesnt matter if you are in the will or not. I cant believe the executors havent told you this. They are letting you worry unnecessarily.

I still have to pay the rent and Brad left no estate. All of the bills were in his name and his sister informed me that she has got no intention of paying them. She wants to get rid of the cable and everything else...all I can say is that shes a ............Brad left me no note.I think that he planned it.I have been unable to eat or sleep.Today is the first day that I rested. And in fact,2 of the homeless knocked on my door. They heard about Brad and wanted to move my lawn....There were bills that Brad wanted paid and I have got no reason to talk to his sister because I dont like her or the brother.Brad wanted nothing to do with his family and now I am in a this big house. The administrator of his estate...are you kidding? Brad left none.We didnt own the house...we are renters. He only had the 2 cars and motorcycles...but out here in the state of washington....if you dont pay the phone bill..they cut your service and as for her...she is a piece of work..and I dont have the time to deal with this...I have lost weight.I cant sleep..but I am reading again.I brought 14 books and one of the books that I am reading is the autobiography of Marcia Brady...it is very good.I got East of Eden by John Steinbeck for .25 cents at the flea market.I intend to read all of the books that I brought.I also am going to give Brads clothes and keep some.I give away some of mine every week.As for my magazines...they are in a box and this was one of the reasons why we fought.Brad did not have any interests. It was mostly those games on the computer.Brad gave me his share of the rent before he died and I miss him already..but the relationship was over and we were on the verge of splitting and no person tells me what to think or do.This isnt St.Annes anymore.
