you have made me smile for a moment, thanks
When my son was about 9yrs old I heard him talking to someone in his bedroom, when I asked him the next morning who he had been talking to he told me with no surprise at all on his face"his sister of course" he said she often came and talked to him at night.I asked him why she never went to see his other sister in her room,he replied"she doesn't want to frighten her mum because she never knew her".He was 22months old when she died.
Many times he has had near disaster accidents and many times he has told me someone else saved him, like when he was on his bikeand lost control and was heading for a wall, he felt someone take control of the bike handles and swerve it so he missed the wall .Many many times he has told me she has interfined when he was in danger. She was 4 and a half years old and he was 22 months old when she died. They where incredibly close and adored each other.I BELIEVE.I have never spoken of this before to any one but my son.
Once when my daughter was about 2 and a half she and I had gone shopping all around one morning. I'd bought her a number of little toys/trinkets she wanted until we were about to leave for home, she asked for another stuffed toy and I told her no. When we got to the bottom of the escalator I stepped off and turned around for her, she gave me an angry/defiant look and sat down, I dropped my pkgs and lunged for her as I watched her hand moving toward danger. I swear I grabbed her other arm to yank her up just as she was pinched by the floor. It wasn't enough to maime her but it was enough to scare her. I swear her brother must have grabbed her arm one split second b4 I did. I saw 2 teenage girls coming down behind us and they both had a mortified look on their faces, like they'd just seen a ghost.
The next was 2 years later when my other son was about 2 and a half (I never actually made that connection until now). We were in a swimming pool at a campground and I was standing in the pool near the steps, talking to my husband. When we were done with what we were talking about I turned around and there is my son standing completely submerged in the water. He had walked down the steps so casually that nobody around noticed. I grabbed him and pulled him up, and while he was a little creeped out by what had just happened, he really wasn't scared. He was completely amenable to playing in the water after that. I really think his brother was with him reassuring him he'd be ok.
