I am wondering if there is a connection between having high blood pressure and developing Bell's palsy. Does anyone else here have both conditions and maybe feel that they're related?
I developed Bell's Palsy last Saturday night into Sunday morning and couldn't see the doctor until Monday morning first thing. When I went to see the doctor my blood pressure was very high and that was a first for me. My blood pressure had been a little on the high side but this time it was very high and the doctor concentrated more on the blood pressure than the Bell's palsy. The doctor put me on a course of Prednisone and lorsartan and clonidine and now I'm taking all of that and still have high blood pressure.
The bell's palsy symptoms seem to be easing as I can have use of my eyelid now but my lip is still not right. But since finishing my course of steroids I have developed pain radiating from my eyebrow ear and down my jaw in connection with the Bell's palsy.
I am so confused as to why both problems flared up simultaneously and so I'm asking if anyone else here has experienced something similar. Thanks in advance.

I could not belive it. I mean I barely did anything! In such a short time I have gone from working 10 hour days to not even being able to handle an hour of simple erands. This chronic pain has robbed me of so much...
Today I hurt all over. Not just my regular back and hips. Went to my pain management doctor today and just got more of the same speech. We are trying physical therapy again. Each time I have done it , it has made me worse. I don't know why he thinks it will work this time. I've been with this doctor for many years. He is very good, but it is all routine now. I am wanting to pull the plug and try...
