This system, which normally protects the body against infections by producing controlled inflammation, becomes overactive and produces unpredictable outbreaks of exaggerated inflammation. This extra inflammation affects blood vessels.

my name is Robyn, I got diagnosed with behcets ( and multiple other illnesses)3 years ago. I had been sick for years with symptoms that really did not make sense and were pretty uncommon. I have been in and out of the hospital since then, and on pretty high daily pain meds. It is so lonely and depressing. I just want a friend, since most of my friends left me after I was in the hospital time and time again. I want someone to talk to.

I feel the same way!!!
I'm feeling too sick to write much here today....up all night with bad pain and other things dispite my pain medicine.
But i just want to say my friends left me behind too in every way as i became more sick with this.
I really understand what happens and the emotional pain that comes with not being well enough for any social life and going out for fun....what is that now?

hello, this is my 3rd round of behcet's since thanksgiving and each flare-up is worse. Besides my fibro pain I have this to deal with. Last time I couldn't eat am and have been on a full liquid diet. Tonight I could have mashed potatoes. I went and bought myself baby food so hopefully I can try and get some strength back. Some days are just so bad I don't get out of bed. I can feel all the pain having this. I'm walking in the same shoes but a different size. I hope you and whoever has this will be in remission soon.
