Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.

Maddy:)
If it's a flight where I think they may sleep, both my kids will wear. It's easier to put itnon before the flight as opposed to trying to do it the aircraft toilets which are often tiny.
Just wear long t-shirts, or longer skirts.
Tossing out the used ones is simple, keep a small plastic shopping bag with you, put the used GoodNite in that, wrap it up and toss it in the trash. No one will ever see it.
Good luck and have fun on your trip!
Hi this is my story. Not only did I wet the bed but I wet myself during the day as well. I remember myself not being able to hold my bladder. I wet myself at school often. I did not know what was wrong with me. My parents would have to bring me extra clothes every time. One thing my parents did that really helped was when they brought me my clothes they did not look at me in disappointment. They did not get sad, dissapointed, angry, yell, argue, laugh, or make me feel bad in public places. I was ashamed of myself and all I wanted to do was just stop. I remember my mom would talk to me in the washroom at school and tell me softly to just try your best to hold it and ask to go to the washroom. The anxiety of school and everything that was going on with me contributed to me having accidents throughout the day. My parents would come into the office at school and I could see they were tired, and it upset me to have them feel burdened. I tried so hard but my bladder was I know now underdeveloped as well as other factors. There were days I would try my best and eventually I would have less and less accidents during the day. Mind you I still had rare accidents during the day until the age of 13. I wet the bed at night until the age of 15.
I had to go to camps overnight, sleepovers, and vacations. The worry of wetting the bed, the bullying, the constant hiding of my condition was on a daily basis. The diapers did not help because they leaked though. I would always remember waking up as early as I could to wash the bedding or to do my best to dry the mattress. I remember the smell that came along with wetting the bed. You have to wash up really well otherwise the smell stuck to you like glue. My parents were hard workers, we grew up sleeping all together in one bedroom, with 2 siblings.
My dad not once ever screamed at me nor did he complain nor did I ever feel like i disappointed him, since I slept beside him my pee would gravitate towards him all the time. My mom was harder on me at home, she just really wanted me to stop. I remember me in a panic and crying just trying to scrub the bed and dry it before she came home from work, I did not know how to wash the bedding yet. Even though she was hard on me I knew she loved me and she tried her best help. Back then, goodnites were unheard of. With the world against me my parents did their best and more. I did not feel good about myself, and going to places for a night other than home terrified me. Some nights I did not sleep just so I would not wet the bed. Finally goodnites came just in time for camp, but they leaked through and I scrambled in the morning to just hide it from everyone especially due to my bullies being in the cabin with me. Goodnites get bulky when wet,so i was so ashamed walking towards the toilet. I remember pouring shampoo in my sleepingbag to hide the smell.
All of this convinced me to help others. I started a small shop selling soaker pads designed as blankets for young ones, as well as preteens. I have more designs coming, and I hope it will help people out. I wish I had this, its designed to act as a blanket without anyone knowing its a soaker pad. I remember growing up and telling my aunt I would sleep in a garbage bag so I would not wet her bed.. she told me never in your life will you ever with me....Its things like that really helped me. Being a kid or teen is hard enough when you also have to deal with accidents. I got really good at hiding it, but I also had a hard time opening up to people growing up.
Having your parent or loved one buy this would really make one feel loved, supported, and understood; especially when things in life are tough enough as it is. I also custom make them to be any size you want or style. The mediums you can really wrap yourself up in and walk to the bathroom without leaking everywhere. My best advice to any parent or caregiver is to be patient, get informed, help them get into a routine during the day and at night(my parents woke up every 2-3 hours at night to bring me to the washroom, it did help because I then started to wake up on my own, but I still had accidents until I was 15). If your loved one has alot of anxiety help reduce it by talking through it. If they are ashamed to talk through it as was I, Its an important thing to just address how they are feeling regardless. Let them feel like they are safe confiding in you. Everyone is different and having your child or preteen wear diapers while they are out during the day might make them feel terrible about themselves, (bring extra clothes and wipes and bring a soaker pad with you( the ones I design can be brought with you anywhere as I can custom make a print and design) We live only once and what our caregivers do really impact us. Be dedicated, let them feel like it will be ok, that you will get through this together, teach them to me independent, and get informed. I know its hard on the caregivers, so teach them to clean up after themselves (its a must!), it will give them confidence and feel like they are less of a burden, because I as well developed high anxiety and depression as a child. The pads I make really soak up well, if your loved one moves around a lot a bigger size is recommended. if this helps anyone please respond back. I know in my gut this will help out others that were in my situation before. You can find me on etsy at
