Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. I never wet my pants at school, although I was a chronic nightly bedwetter. But I was made to wear rubber pants by day to remind me I was a "wet bed", and that due to my "weak bladder" I could not be trusted, as I was "NOT RELIABLY DRY!".
Result: plenty flak from staff and peers!!
