Hi I'm Debra and we have 3 kids. An 11yo boy who's your typical preteen don't have time for mom or dad unless he wants something lol but a great kid. An 8yo daughter who is your typical girl at that age playing with dolls and such, and our littles surprise almost 3yo baby boy who's attached to me lol.
anyways what I'm here for is concerning my daughter. About a couple months ago at her yearly checkup we were talking to the dr who mentioned her still wetting at night. She was starting to show some concern at this age over it and mentioned about a referral to a urologist next year if she doesn't stop by then. I've been researching what we can do for it. She's not an every night most of the time but still has her good weeks and bad weeks. But it's at least 3 times a week at the moment.
We've tried all the normal like cutting fluids, going right before bed and such but not there. We haven't been using pull-ups since the checkup to see if waking up in a wet bed might help but it hasn't so far, it's only produced more laundry and some loss of sleep that I feel is hurting her so we might revisit back to pull-ups or something.
so if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. I wear pull-ups during the daytime (GoodNites) and keep a bathroom timer. Although, for my bedwetting I wore GoodNites til high school and now wear tape-on medical diapers due to leaks as I don't get the signal for my bladder or bowels at all overnight. I got really embarrassed people would find out I had to wear pull-ups like if they saw me with my parents at the store buying them.
However, I would much rather wear pull-ups or diapers than have to do so much laundry. I can understand why my parents did when I was younger, as it was tough waking up to change my sheets and is more tough as an adult because of my disabilities.
She didn’t seem to have an issue with wearing pull-ups to bed but I think she was excited to try going without wearing them to see if that helps, but I think that excitement has faded out. So I feel that going back to pull-ups or diapers is going to happen but at least we tried.
When she wore pull-ups they wasn’t the most reliable protection for her. Sometimes they just couldn’t a good wetting without leaking/overflowing around the legs and waist so we might visit diapers instead plus her little brother isn’t close to potty training anyways and in a larger size now anyways.

Just like any other kid her age she wasn’t to keen about diapers and did get a little upset which I understand I told her I’ll show her how to put them on herself which made it a little better, I explained that pull-ups are basically the same thing.
So at bedtime she had just got out of the bath and I was waiting in her room for her with her pjs. She was a little disappointed with the diaper setting there. To make it quicker and easier I decided to just go ahead and diaper her myself for a couple days. So I had her lay down and I put it on her and helped her get her pjs on and sent her to bed. This morning dry bed and she was in a fantastic mood.
Tonight was about the same
My question is she at a good age to handle it herself or should I keep diapering her for the time being?
We still change her because she doesn't mind. I think she could handle putting them on herself if she wanted to, but it hasn't been an issue yet.
How did the last couple nights go? Is she still disappointed about having to wear a diaper?
The baby diapers fit ok. We’re using Huggies size 6 on her and my little one but I’m thinking of picking a pack of size 7 to see if they work for both.
Amy I did check out northshorecares.com today and I couldn’t believe what they have for adult/youth size diapers. I was clueless other than the depends and others you see in the stores. Looking the sizes she’s in a transition stage between baby and adult sizes I guess.
I'm new here to and a have twin 8 year old bedwetting girls. They are identical twins. Both have been bedwetters since birth, never really been dry at night. After trying so many different solutions and products, my husband and I came to the conclusion a couple if years ago it was just best to have the girls in diapers at nights. So I can totally understand your dilemma with your daughter as I've been through it all myself with my girls. We have them wearing Tranquility ATN XS (extra small) disposable diapers. Did try the baby diapers, Pampers 7 but thry both had plenty of leaking with those.
My girls like your daughter are not the happiest about wearing diapers to bed but they've come to accept it as a part of their routine. I am happy to hear it hasn't been much of a struggle getting your daughter back into diapers though. I hope it's still going well!

Yea she wasn’t the happiest having to go back to diapers but realized once she went back after trying to go without. Once she got accustomed to being diapered she seems to of adjusted to wearing them.
We had thought about going to size 7s but after trying some youth/adult diapers we decided to go that route now, now she’s on the small end of the sizing but she liked the prints so we’re using crinklz brand from northshore. At the moment They seem to hold her all night (we found out when she went without sometimes she wet 2 time a night). I know deep down all kids wouldn’t want to be diapered but we feel it’s the best for our daughter to get the rest she needs for school
