Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.
Hi all,
My name is Vanessa.
I have a 9 year old daughter with minor cerebal palsy that causes bladder incontinence. Our family is taking a two week trip from the Northeast US to the Southeast and back home again. My daughter wears the girls GoodNites now but I'm looking for a youth disposable diaper that I can use on her. She's 9, 4'11" tall and weighs about 85 pounds. Her GoodNites work well bit she's beginning to wet through them and they work well for more than one accident or bigger accidents.
I'm looking for suggestions on a quality youth disposable diaper that'll last a while between changes without leaking and has quality tapes or velcro. She no longer fits in baby diapers. I've looked at the Trest diapers on Amazon and I think they small will fit her but unsure of quality.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. It doesn't feel any different though!Just so you all know a bit about me: I suffer with anxiety and occasional panic attacks, and sometimes I do an accidental wee in bed while I'm asleep. Now I'm a year older than this time last week I can report that nothing has changed, although...

It's more than just a kink, really, but that's the really embarrassing part. For more than 3 years now, I've been wearing pull-ups during the day, and diapers at night. It started with just diapers on the weekends, as a way to help me through a very stressful job. I've since left that job, but I never stopped wearing diapers. In fact, I started wearing pull-ups too, and now they're all I wear. I...

I'm Cassie. I've worn diapers all my life and still do. Besides the adult diapers I wear
Northshore Care has their Megamax diapers and they come in xtra-small. They have a bunch of colors too but I just checked and the xtra-small are just in white. Get a sample bag of xtra-small and also try small which comes in pink, my fav! Blue, black and tie dye, my 2nd favorite!
Is she just wearing them at night.
I have heard of the trest diapers too and they get very good reviews. I guess they are a good choice too.
Even you look for disposable diapers I can recommend the use of washable diapers because you can determine the absorbency by adding another layer. When I first heard of it I wasn’t convinced at all but after trying I have made very good experiences. Maybe it’s less an option for a travel but certainly at home. Washable diapers come in white but also nice prints. Same with the waterproof pants.
Btw. not all cloth diapers require plastic pants on top as they already have a plastic backed outer layer.
What we use on my 10yo daughter is the small crinklz/betterdry brand for her bedwetting. We very rarely have any leaks with these. We even use these during the day for trips or if we’re going to be away from a bathroom, and we can go at least eight hours between changes if needed and have had no issues. Now these are plastic outer shell diapers, we tried the cloth outer ones and they didn’t work.
The only difference is the crinklz is a printed diaper and the betterdry is all white as they are made by the same company.
We tried the Trest brand but found them expensive and preformed as well as the brand were using so we just stuck with them.
But as all kids are different and if you have time you could order some samples from company’s to do a test forum with your daughter to find the right product for her. We did that and landed on what works best for her. There comfort is the most important thing.
We order from www.llmedco.com. A really good company to buy from and there’s also north shore company as well.
Best of luck on finding a product for her and have fun on your trip
Our thirteen year old daugher uses northshore megamax at night (and sometimes during the day). We switched to them when she was about your daughter's age. She can change herself now but needed help initially. Not sure if that would be an issue since I assume she can manage the goodnites herself.
Anyway, happy to share more if you have any questions. Feel free to PM me if you'd like as well.
Thank you everyone! :)
May I ask why you prefer the Northshore over Trest?
I also have a photo of Northshore and Trest in my journal so you can see the difference..
