So, i'm not some "adult baby" or whatever, but I do feel that diapers are the absolute best route for me to go. In quintessence, we do not like diapers because of what other people may think. Sure there are some annoying things about them- rashes, changes, crinkling- but that isn't nearly as bad as waking up soaked.
I wet the bed for about a week, stopped for a couple of months, and began wetting these last two nights. Last time I told my mom, it was extremely akward. She went to the extreme and bought me a new matress and made me use my 6 month old sister's crib pad. Bad news- I have an extremely large bladder and the liquid resides on top of the matress pad, and not to be graphic or anything, but it gets down to my knees and all up my shirt. It's quite terrible, really.
I know diapers are the best route for me to go. Yet my fear is that my mother will not offer them to me and there is no way in hell I will ask for diapers. Reason being, when I was little I used to want to wear diapers, which my mother was aware of. I don't want her to think that i'm doing this for attention. Mind you, I was about seven when I had this desire- about eight years ago.
How do I somehow sabatoge or get my mom into buying me protection without making it obvious?
PS I have also tried 4 seperate menstural pads on top of each other, that does not work.

Why dont you talk about it with your mum?

A couple of years ago I was using this bedwetting alarm, and the next day I was always really tired because of it waking me up in the middle of the night. So I talked to my mum about switching back to a nappy at night instead so I can sleep, and after a good discussion she let me.

Either that, or discuss an alternative idea or buy them in secret or something lol

I would just ask her. My wife knows of my bedwetting, so it's not that big of a deal. I've been having daytime issues too, so I've been wearing during the day as well. If you need support I can talk.

Sophelle, Hi. I totally understand, I am going through the same dilemma. I am tired of waking up wet (and I have a large bladder too!). I'm just nervous that they make me try less hard to hold it in my subconsciously. Does that make any sense? Maybe it might be just a phase and you will only need them for a while. It might be best to buy a pack yourself and hide it?

it actually might be good to ask your mom about them. it might actually be better for you so you're not ruining clothes, blankets, fitted sheets and mattresses and costing her more money than it would cost for some diapers plus continuing to feel uncomfortable yourself. my mom actually bought me a plastic fitted sheet. maybe you can ask your mom about that. good luck

Guess I'm lucky because my parents have always used diapers for my bedwetting. I wear diapers to bed every night (my brother did too until he recently stopped). Not awkward in our house since I've never worn anything to bed but a diaper. I have had other kids tell me that their paernts won't let them wear diapers either and thats sad. Who wants to sleep in a wet bed? At least when I wake up my diaper is wet but my bed is dry. Sometimes my diaper will leak a bit and I'll have a wet spot on my bed and pj's but thats better than sleeping entirely soaked because I peed and wasn't diapered. Ask your parenats for diapers or perhaps have another relative order them for you online and send them to your house. My parents buy my diapers online. Even see if you can ask a teacher or a guidance counselor or mention it to your doctor next time you go with mom in the room. Maybe the doctor can convince her that wearing diapers would be OK and that she should let you do it.

hi i used to be scared to tell my parents to i told them and my mom was able to get diapers from her insurance at work. They come in the mail and nobody finds out so its cool that way.

i'm also a bed wetter and day time too so i know how you feel. I would just sit down with your mom and tell her that you hate waking up all wet. tell her you would like to try some adult diaper to see if that works out better for you. tell her it would be less work for her not washing sheets all the time.

tell your mom that lots of teens wet and wear diapers. its not all that uncommon just look at all the diapers in the stores and on line. they make them in all sizes cause we come in call sizes.

Well if you truly feel diapers are your best alternative you must talk to your Mom about it. I was a typical teenager though and dealt with soaked sheets every morning and waking up wet in the middle of the night, changing everything and waking up wet again in the morning. Not until I turned 18 did I decide this was a stupid path. Of course I had been to numerous dr.s over the years and nothing from pills to alarms worked for me. Anyway when I started college I put myself in a nightime diaper and have stayed there ever since and I'm 57. I should never have fought with the issue like I did growing up because diapers do exactly what their supposed to do which means peaceful, dry nights of sleep and just toss the diaper in the wash in the morning....no big deal

I dont know how old u r ?My son is 13yrs old n still has this problem.I asked his doctor n he said theres a pill that can n will help stop the bed wetting right now we r still in the process of ajusting the dosage .We r hopefull.It seems to b working.

I just noted that Alexandra88 has posted some photos where she wears all-in-one pants. They seem to be similar the ones I put my daughter in. Perhaps you have a look at her photos and you may consider those pants?

hey i know it is a rough deal having to go through this. i have found just talking honestly helps. and yes i realize it may be uncomfortable and embarressing at first but it is something that needs to be done. i have been dealing with my issues for about a 2 years now, and honestly adult briefs are the best route i have found to date.. so best of luck to you am here if you would like to talk.
