Hello, I’m 38 m, I wet the bed frequently more or less nightly until i was 19, I was dry from 19 until late 20’s-early 30’s and started having bed wetting issues again that was quickly followed by daytime issues and now fully urinary incontinent, and wear nappies 24/7 

I’ve been to urologists etc and had several tests done etc, although it took me a long time to seek medical advice through misplaced shame and embarrassment, despite knowing myself that it was something that should be checked out and something i shouldn’t really be embarrassed about, but i just started wearing nappies and told no one, I’ve lived on my own, with flatmates and back at my parents intermittently, but I’m currently living at my parents again and have been since before my bed wetting and incontinence began or returned, and I didn’t even tell my parents despite the fact they were understanding and supportive during the bedwetting years in my youth/teens, 

Finally my mother caught me in nappy after about a year and a half of hiding it,

We discussed it and she talked me into seeking medical advice, but I digress This was a good few years ago now, so my parents know which is ok and I don’t have to hide it anymore 

But anyway I live in a small town and we have a few small supermarkets but not the cheapest or best selection, I generally do my own shopping and cooking etc but today my mother was going out of town to a much bigger supermarket with better deals and choices of items, so I went with her to get my shopping too. We weren’t long in the store and my mother put her hand in her pocket and looked confused and then proceeded to pull a pair of my youngest nephews underpants, she had been looking after him this morning and he’s in the midst of potty training, 

So anyway my mother looks at me chuckled and said “ well I’ve got a spare pair of undies incase you wet your pants”  she quickly realised i probably wasn’t the best person to make that

Joke to, ( I didn’t really get offended or anything) but she quickly followed her remark with sorry I shouldn’t have said that with you being incontinent, 

She didn’t do it maliciously but she wasn’t exactly whispering when she said either and there was a couple of people directly behind us that were either gobsmacked and or giggling, 

I just glowed red and laughed nervously
