Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.
I know from your previous post that your son tried pull ups but that they were not always absorbent enough and that he is better with a more absorbent nappy/diaper type protection. Of course that can be difficult to put on when at a sleepover. So perhaps this might work - how about he puts a pull up inside his sleeping bag and then when he gets into it he could slip into his pull up, and no one will notice.Perhaps also this is also an occasion when the Desmopressin might help a bit. Like you I did not want to rely on medication long term but I do still occasionally use the Desmopressin if I need to be doubly sure of a dry night when for example staying with friends. Perhaps your son could try this at home beforehand so that it builds his confidence before the sleepover. Good luck.
If he feels not going is the best thing then that is what he should do.
The stress of worrying about having an accident and his friends finding out he has a bedwetting problem would make for a rough night and pretty much guarantee an accident.
I use to do the I can come over for awhile but cant sleepover because we are doing something in the morning and at least he can enjoy part of the fun with his friends.

My daughter has this mouth breathing issue too and we found a good solution with her using a pacifier. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it works and that is what counts.
