Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.
Having a daughter who dealt with a very similar problem, I understand your frustration. As a parent, sometimes we have to upset our children, even if it upsets them. With my daughter (now almost 9), we had to deal with the crying, temper tantrums and more before we eventually bought her diapers (due to her size, my sons diapers still fit her). At first, she was upset, but after a few weeks of full nights sleep and no wet beds, she got better. Although we've dealt with issues since, it is mostly non-existant now, so it is just a memory.
As for the mattress, I would hold off getting anything until you've decided on protection that works. I can assure you, she probably isn't the only kid in her class dealing with this.

Does she like it when she wakes up in a dry bed? We used that to help sell diapers to our daughter - maybe a similar approach would work.
