Banana Community Group
For people who sometimes feel a bit like a bloody banana! A place for validation, love, hope and warmth, a place for friendship and the sharing of dreams. A place always to feel safe and welcome..also a place for the occassional sprinkling of silliness to lighten the sometimes darkness of our days.
Will wait until the end of day when the sellers want to get rid of stuff.
I've often gotten the impression that some people who go to yard sales do so, not so much for the items they can buy, but for the dickering of the price. I don't like doing that, which is why I don't go to yard sales, nor have I ever had one. I name the price I want and if someone doesn't see the same value in in, then they don't have to buy it. I honor their choice in the item's value, and appreciate their honoring mine.
When my ex and I were refurbishing mobile homes and reselling them, we built in "dickering money" because we knew that folks would want to try and talk us down. Usually, they quit dickering at a slightly higher price than we had originally wanted, so we made a bit more. I always thought it was a silly game they played, and it often cost them more than if it hadn't been necessary to deal with. The few times they went below our price, we just froze there and they ended up paying it (with griping and whining, of course).
I don't take offense to people who like to dicker. I simply don't like doing it myself, and I don't see any sense in it. But that is me and has no reflection on them. I understand that it is fun for some people and I wish them all great enjoyment, as well as savings and profit.
OK, I'm going to shut up now before the walls of this well collapse on me.
I was just trying to explain-too much so I think! I have dug that hole many a time, I think you answered fine! You were not digging that hole!
You are funny!
