I'm gonna guess and say it has something to do with them being twins, because technically kids that young can only work so many hours, where they had 2 to work with they could get more filming done? ???? Something like that?

Even though thats true for twins who work on any TV show, but thats not why. Guess again.

Ok this is why: All the sets of twins who audition for the role of Michelle Tanner, they were all crying, cranky, fussy and wouldnt settle down...except the Olsen twins weren't like that and thats why they got the role.
