This is how I understand it, the ins. co.negotiates all charges with doctors and hospitals, etc.
The hospital 2 miles from my house refused to accept the low payments Hummana was willing to pay, so they do not take Hummana Ins.
I have PPO ins. that charges a very high co-pay, but I have a larger selection of dr.s and facilities.

Now, because of the leads that were in my upper back, I have scar tissue, and if anyone pats me on the back, I go bonkers! I get zaps & "electrical whammies" that almost make my hair stand on end -- and my hair is long! LOL
Anyway -- I'm sure glad this works for you. Wish I could say the same. I can't have the pain pump cause it's bigger than the SCS. So my only option now is pain meds. I've had everything else done to me. ARGGHHH. Oh well. I'm getting old, so maybe I won't have to deal with this much longer. LOL Have a good day all. Hugs, Lee
