What does all this mean

Hello all

Im not new to DailyStrength but new to this section

I'm hoping someone here can convert the results of my ct scan below into English please

Results of my ct scan

L4/5 disc protruding. Acquired foraminal stenosis is present on the right
Left S1 joint is ankylosed
multi level facet arthropathy severe on right L5 S1
Narrowing intervertebral Disc T12/L1 L1/2 L3/4

I'm wondering the short term/long term outcome might be as I have been putting up with lower back pain for 40 years and my right sciatic has been pretty bad until recently (more on that later)

Hey there, I really don't know what that means for the most part, but I can tell you a little bit from what I seen using google searches. Ankylosed means that it's become stiff and multi level facet arthropathy means that there''s disease or abnormality of the faucet joins. Apparently the facet joins are the joints in the spine that make the back flexible and allow you to bend and what not.
Of course this is just from searching online for a minute or so, I'm by no means a doctor, and I think you should talk to yours if you haven't done so yet. I have some back problems too and I know it sucks, I've been dealing with back pain for a few years now. I've grown tired of all the x-rays, MRIs and ct scans.

I sort of got an idea on what you found out ...thank you very much, im hoping someone who has similar problems might be able to give me an insight on what to expect now and in the future as well as pain relief i might need to get through a day, although I wouldn't mind a bit of ankylosing somewhere else..... haha
