I went to my second orthopedist. He thinks the first one I went to may have accidentally caused bursitis in my shoulder joint or torn a tendon when he manipulated my shoulder. The new doctor couldn't tell me exactly why my shoulder blade drooped, and didn't order any diagnostic tests. He did prescribe me PT, but would not let me make a followup appointment. He just said to call him if I don't get better. He also said I can get back into working out without restrictions.

Well, I decided to workout yesterday. No weights and I only did lower body moves. I did use my arms for stabilization, but no weight bearing. Afterwards my shoulder blade and shoulder hurt more though, and now my neck is bothering me too. When I was laying down at night I felt a "shifting" sensation a couple of times at the back of my neck. It hurt to lay down, so I didn't bother sleeping.

I feel okay now. It hurts, but not too bad. It kinda burns down my neck, my mid back, scapula, and the back of my shoulder joint. Not like a post workout burning though. I don't know how to describe, but it's not a "good burn."

I think I'm going to get a third opinion. I not comfortable doing PT if the doctor can't tell me exactly what's wrong, and now that my neck is bothering me too... I just don't want to make it worse.

Does anyone think a chiropractor would be able to help me figure this out? Can a chiropractor order an x-ray or MRI? So far I'm not impressed with any of the orthos I've seen.
