Back Pain Support Group
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care. In fact, about 3 in 4 adults will experience back pain during their lifetime! The term back pain includes pain affecting the neck, midback and low back. Acute back pain may begin suddenly with intense pain but typically lasts fewer than three months. Usually, chronic back pain is persistent, steady, and...
I am responding to your post because I can relate, somewhat. I was 21 when I started suffering from back pain. It got so bad, I could not sleep anymore. I would wake up in pain, suffer through the day in pain and then back again to no sleep. I did not take any drugs though, except over the counter pills. After seeing numerous doctors, they set a date for surgery; the diagnosis was called lumbar spondylosis. The surgery would restrict my movement by 25%. The pain would never completely go away.
It didn't sound right so I walked away. Today, some 20 years later, I am more fit than ever, with no pain at all. I focussed on understanding what was happening to me, overall. I did not focus on the back specifically. What was my body trying to tell me by creating this pain? The fundamental problem - alignment or rather, mis-alignment of the body structure.
There are many many ways of relieving the pain, drug free. I know because I have done it. In fact I am so convinced of this that I have since opened a pain management clinic and have treated clients successfully to get rid of their pain completely or at the very least, reduce it so that life is not "living in a daily hell". I would like to help if I can.
Don't lose hope.
