Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care. In fact, about 3 in 4 adults will experience back pain during their lifetime! The term back pain includes pain affecting the neck, midback and low back. Acute back pain may begin suddenly with intense pain but typically lasts fewer than three months. Usually, chronic back pain is persistent, steady, and...
Quickest solution to that area of problem (I don't even want to say it aloud) is to lay down on your tummy and someone walk on ya(JUST KIDDING) relief or death is a result
On January 12, 2017 I had L4-L5 L5-S1 ALIF PLIF fusion surgery. The doctors put me through three physical therapies, (2 before surgery and one after surgery). I am still having pain , but it's mostly on one side. When I feel the pain, I can just imagine that titanium rubbing against something in my back. I cringe, but keep going on. My doctor blames me for the pain, even though I got sick once and had to be taken in ambulance to two different hospitals without my backbrace on, in February. My doctor says "it doesn't matter", and I figured it was the ride in ambulance that my back began hurting. But my doctor has been nitpicking at me blaming me for the pain, without even looking at my back to see if there may be something wrong with it.
Anyway, they gave me no options. I went to required PT, had xray, had MRI, they gave me no choice but to choose surgery. They said I'm too young for medication (I'm 33 and have gray in my beard already!), so they flat out refused to try medication. Now, in October, the only thing I'm given in Tramadol 50mg twice a day. I also have RA, which keeps me hurting a lot. I've also had surgery on both knees, among a list of about 7 more. I'm a medical mess, and in very severe pain day and night. It's not too bad at night anymore but in the day I have constant severe pain.
I even got highly upset like last night, because I'm in so much pain it's driving me nuts. I fear sleeping though because of nightmares and because I know i'll just wake up in pain again. The pain is literally driving me insane. I'm in chronic pain every day, with very little relief....
And now that doctor ordered me an MRI on my neck because I have on degenerated disc, whereas I had two in my lower back. Doc said he's put the titanium in there just like in my back. He said he'd put plastic in my neck though where the disc will be removed. He used bone for my back. I have bone spurs in every disc in my back and neck that they are working with. I have degenerative disc disease. It's okay if no one replies - at least it's here to be read, and it makes me feel better. Thanks for listening. :-)
