Back Pain Support Group
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care. In fact, about 3 in 4 adults will experience back pain during their lifetime! The term back pain includes pain affecting the neck, midback and low back. Acute back pain may begin suddenly with intense pain but typically lasts fewer than three months. Usually, chronic back pain is persistent, steady, and...
We invested in a new bed and it has helped a bunch too.
For the breakthru pains i turn to meds. Meds from the dr if necessary.
Yeah, I have heard inversion tables can be good. I have a pull up bar at home and do dead hangs off of that a few times a week which basically does the same thing.
Funnily enough, I have an appointment with an osteopath later today. Going through a particularly bad bout of back pain at the moment, It's so frustrating, I just need something to target that is the cause. Hopefully this guy can point me in the right direction.
I'm thinking of buying a deep tissue massage gun and getting some cbd oil. You had any experience with these?
Also, my dad had chronic pack pain. He suffered for decades then had some shots in his spine (epidurals?) and has been good ever since. He is 88 years old and lifts boxes and sells stuff at a swap meet every weekend.
I'm basically ok until I tweak it maybe once every year or so. I feel like it vastly improved when I did core strength exercises like pushups and crunches. I discovered that pull-ups actually aggravate it by stretching out my spine then if I lift something afterwards, it compresses my spine again causing that "click" and then I'm basically paralyzed for the next half hour. I'm down for about two weeks until back to normal. It's livable but I have an appt for an MRI soon. I'm sure there is a disc causing problems in there.
Oh and I forgot to mention, I've been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease around 2005. It hasn't been much different since the diagnosis. Matter of fact, I've had long stretches of doing ok. I also bought this strap that I wear when my back is really bad. It has pads that strap onto your knees when you are sitting at your desk. The strap goes around to your lower back and supports it. It's a brilliant invention and I highly recommend it. I've had it for years. It sits in my closet for the most part but I'll never get rid of it. It's called Nada Chair. https://www.protherapysupplies.com/Nada-Chair-Back-Up?utm_term=4577816663181428&utm_campaign=Google+Shopping+-+MAIN+%28All+Devices%29&utm_medium=cpc&msclkid=520c4ad357fd1dbffbb42a52aaaafb98&utm_source=bing&utm_content=All+Other+Products+%28WS%29
You can get it cheaper on ebay.
I also had an inversion table a long time ago. I think it helped a bit but I got rid of it as it took up way too much room in my small apt. So it probably didn't help too much or I was better enough to not keep it anymore.
