Ummm, you are right, you should not be in pain all the time. It sounds like your fusion is either not set correctly, no longer good because of your growth in those years or something else.
You need to have an CAT scan since you cannot have an MRI due to the rods. There is a reason why you are hurting so much and you need to get that resolved so you can find a solution or possible solution.
Also, are you currently receiving a medicinal help for your chronic pain? I know that most of the time that docs look at someone so young and kind of blow us off.
I hope you are able to find some medical help that will validate and listen to you. Advocate for your self and your needs.
