Hello..I'm new here...I have chronic back pain...There's not much to be done except pain meds. I have been in the hospital lately for depression, but they just gave me pain meds and sent me home after 5 days...I guess there really is nothing else for them to do...Anyway, i'm glad to be apart of this group and hope to make new friends! hello and welcome. Very sorry the drs aren't doing anything more for your pain..have you visited an pain clinic/pain management dr?
Some people look into acupuncture..

Welcome Plato. I'm really sorry you have to live with this chronic back pain. I had major spinal fusion surgery on my back 19 months ago, on my L5, S-1 vertebrae. The recovery was hell for sure but I have no regrets having the surgery as I was out of any other options. May I ask what is causing the chronic pain? I too know how depressing chronic back pain can be.

Hello Plato390. I am so sorry to hear that you have to suffer such pain. I also had chronic back pain for years before I sought treatment from OrthoTexas, Frisco. You can also consult the spine specialists there.

Hi there! So sorry you are having pain. Have you been through the testing (scans, MRI etc) to determine if surgery is an option for you? I had some pretty serious back surgery in 2011 and it was very helpful.

So sorry you hurt and can't do anything about it. I was in a similar situation last year (lucky for me my one dr ordered testing and found something that could be fixed). If you ever need someone to complain to or get support from please feel free to contact me.

Sorry about your pain, I have been there. Depression during a 6 week period when I was out of work and could not even walk for some of that. Doctors were absolutely no help, just pushing meds and not telling me what I really needed which was to get off the couch and excercise. Now you can't go powerlifting, not right away but there are some programs out there that have drastically improved my life, reduced pain and just plain made my life better. I work where I carry almost 40 lbs of gear for 10 hour shifts and this no longer is a problem for me. Yoga, pilates, don't rely on the meds. There are some amazing fitness pros out there and they do safe routines. It has been a life changer for me. And the best part, no more meds.
