Anyone have back pain that started or worsened several years after a hysterectomy?
Do you also have hip pain?
What's your diagnosis, e.g., degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, other?

You may also want to consider physical therapy. They can help you strengthen your pelvic floor and ligaments holding the pelvis and hip.
Here's an explanation about the back, hip, and spine problems after hysterectomy. The uterine ligaments are like scaffolding. They keep the spine, rib cage, and pelvic bones properly positioned. When they're severed to remove the uterus, it compromises the entire core. This causes the spine to compress, the rib cage to fall and the hips to widen (front to back) which is why women who've had a hyst have shortened and thickened midsections along with back, hip, and rib cage pain.
I've posted some 5 year post-op pics of my belly on my profile. You can see the evidence of spine compression as a crease 2 inches above my navel. And my once flat lower abs now protrude and my butt looks almost flat.
