Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.
What a great day out on a very hot and sunny day in Langhorne, PA's sesame place. My 2.10 year old daughter loved the place, as did my wife and I! It was our first time at the theme park, and it was a great experience for all of us. Family boding time was in full swing. It was nice to see other folks out and about wit htheir austic children enjoying the day. I must admit, not to sound heartless, but seeing how further down the spectrum some children were at the park, made my wife and I very gratefullthat our daughter is a high fnctioning autistic child (we still are waiting for her to be evaluated by Cooper Hospital for autism). Whoever originaly posted about the free autism weekend for familys, many thanks from my wife and I!!!
Many thanks again, it really was a fun day out for my family, particuarly my daughter-I was unaware of this local event-you opened up a new adventure for us occasionaly-Sesame Place was a blast. Cheers.
