Autism / Autism Spectrum Support Group
Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.
well, my daughter just turned 1 and she has reached all of her milestones, but she does flap her hands sometimes too. only time will tell if she has any autism or other pdd. either way i will never regret my kids-i love them both no matter what. i did have a tubal after i had my daughter. if i could have anymore kids, i would not-because to be honest my hands are full enough as it is.
i think i would give it some time and think about it if i were you. and yes it can be genetic-but i wouldnt let that stop you from having another baby, if you want another one-because either way, you will love your child.
I can't speak to you hun of siblings since sam is an only child. i was 30 when i had him and i'll be 41 next month. to be honest, i had thought about it in the past but felt that i couldn't give sam everything he needed if i had another child plus when we got the diagnosis, i had a hard time accepting it.
but for you my friend, go with your instincts. you will know when the time is right and you and your husband will make the right decision for you and your family. I wish you nothing but the best.
i, in my case believe it was the vac's. my son is improving every day and he will not recieve any additional vac's as long as he lives, nor will my daughter.
This is a very personal decision for you, best of luck.
