My name is June, and I'm helping my sister find information to help her 3 year old son who has recently been diagnosed with mild autism. While I was looking into the oxytocin trials that autism-speaks did I saw that a woman had posted saying that you can currently get oxytocin nasal spray from a pediatrician, (as long as they're "up-to-date"), and that it can really help improve sociability and verbal learning.
Does anyone have any information on oxytocin nasal sprays outside of those studies? Is it safe to use? If you have used it or know anything about it any extra information will be helpful, we don't want to get our hopes up if it's just a fad. Thanks.

I have 3 kids. 24. 17. 15. My 17 yr old has become super defiant. be very careful on meds and what you hear works and what doesn't. a lot of these things are just that, a fad. I strongly urge you to contact your local school system as he should be eligible for early intervention services.
