I think I have Aspergers

I suspect that I have Aspergers because I can't wear certain fabrics and I also have to get rid of any tags, I also hate when people touch me simply a hug would be offputting. I have social anxiety and have trouble making eye contact. I have trouble with emotions and can often be seen as mean at times. Sometimes if someone asks me or tells me to do something I will not respond to them. I also am obsessed with  certain areas such and can't stop thinking or talking about them. I love routine and get flustered if something changes. Sometimes I seem to not concentrate well and forget to do stuff.

Welcome to the group Maple. The only way to know for sure is to get a formal evaluation. But you're welcome here whether you do that or not.

Hi Maple, hope this finds you well. Though unscientific, and no replacement for clinical evaluation, there's a rather comprehensive online Aspie test which may help give you some personal perspective. A lot of Aspies on DS have taken this particular test, which may offer a rough guesstimate of where one falls on the Spectrum. Here's their link: https://rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

@V1CT0RY That test is very easy for people to cheat, it doesn't take into account childhood and that some of the things could be the impact of brain injury or PTSD rather than austim and also as you said, is unscientific mostly because it's so subjective it's based on the individual's opinion of what they do, rather than what they actually do. Since Asperger's/Autism has become a popular condition to have, because of how high functioning autism or Asperger's is now being linked to higher than normal intelligence in a lot of television shows and media, I don't think it's good to advise people to take that test at all, because people actually want to have the condition so will lie.

Do you know that the list of nationalities before the questions, doesn't include anywhere in the Caribbean?

The only way to know is by a formal diagnosis. I'm actually waiting for that myself as my doctor was supposed to refer me but apparently the wait is very long in the UK where I live.
