Hate autism

I have a friend who constantly put me down and said my autism was annoying to her and how i communicated. I often didnt understand her straight away and asked questions to try understand her point. I guenuinely didnt understand her and she would say things like " stop acting dumb" or "stop being annoying" or " just shut up and stop going on" 


I have just tried to end this friendship because it gets me down. I really hate that i have autism. I dont mean to be so annoying and dumb.

So sorry this person you've considered a friend has trouble being polite to you.

Asking questions when you don't understand is not dumb. It is a really good way to communicate, and to learn something.

Hang in there. I hope you find friend(s) who know how to tell you kindly when they can't answer your questions right when you ask them.

Aspire, I am wondering if she is truly a friend. I know what you mean that you hate having autism. My current Therapist has been telling me that I am a good person and that at times people, she use the word abusive people do mean things. Please hang in there.

You don't have a friend that does that, the person is an acquaintance and not a particularly good one at that. There's no need to hate having autism, and there's no need to stop trying to ask questions to understand something better.

You could think of it like this. Your mind is very analytical and you need to keep exploring and seeking answers for a deeper understanding, just like the stereotypical portrayal of a genius. The image of a genius is basically just a high functioning autist.

A lot of people who had autism have been behind many of the major inventions and developments in society because they didn't think like other people.

I always had trouble in school said it was bad behavior.I was finally when a lot older and confirmed autism +dd developmental disability problems then to top it off my incontinence returned and have been diaper dependent for along time my 2nd wife is a big help and never complains.
