It's going to be okay. Children play and jump and run and they should try to be more understanding.
As an Autism therapist my suggestion would be maybe see if you can find one of those small trampolines for exercise and see if he will jump on there and it will make less noise.

I remember living in an upstairs apartment, and below me was a 60 year old man who had 8 kids of his own (all grown up) as well as grandkids. My son is very high energy, so I let him of course run around. It is his home after all. The man would continue to come upstairs to tell me to keep my son quiet.

I finally told him(after about 4 months of this) that kids play, he can deal with it or not. My son has to run it out, he's a special kid, its what he does. And if you're a parent of so many yous hould be used to the noise.

So it's frustrating that other people don't understand. But if they are(were) parents themselves they should understand. If they aren't parents then I am sure they have been around many.

Kids make noise, our kind make even more thats ok. Nothing wrong with it :)

I live in an apartment complex too and have noticed that parents and children have so much more restrictions.

I think the only way you can deal with this is to take lots of outings with your child. The apartment walls are not enough for healthy development.

Take your child, pack lunches, and go out into the world. If your child is afraid of other people, often happens to autistic kids, take the child to nature settings.
Include long play times outside as much as you can. Because watching your child within the apartment walls attempting to get enough exercise is almost like watching a wild animal pacing behind fences in a zoo.

Feel ya brother. My dad is a strong person. He seems to not ever get embarresed , but just mad , or fustrated. Sometimes i will hear him talk to me in front of people like>>>>>I know this is hard for you. I feel embarresed...its like saying i know talking to me is hard for you. I have schizophrenia.....and very likely aspergers, or some form of autism. It takes a lot of strength to help your kid and at the same time be strong enough to deal with peoples bullshit about it. Just find that balance of a father in you man. Be the person you are, and the father you are. Thats all you can be is that. You'll have to have some fights. Just know your on the right side of the fight. All you can do is be strong as you can , and be the best dad you can.
