Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.
I have always known that I'm a Visual learner and I want to do a food diary I know what basic stuff I want to put in it i.e What I have been eating, what exercise I have done and how much, also how I feel each. also keeping receipts of what food I have actually bought.
The only thing I'm struggling with is the creative side of things I don't want it to be boring or loose interest in doing this.
I do want to take it out with me if I am going some where i.e having a day out.
I do like to have colour in my life i'm not so keen on plain colours i.e beige, creams that sort of thing. Also pictures, stickers things that I can touch and feel.
Any suggestions or ideas or additions would much appreciated

Keep every receipt and put them in a box or scan them for a paperless record.
see how much you spend and see if you can find the same thing at a better price or if you can tell if you are paying way over the average rate and understand the economy of the expense.
I think it is a fascinating idea! Oliver needs help to expand his diet. He is a visual learner too! Good Luck!
