I have not personally encountered this. However, it is not uncommon for those who are autistic or even those not on the spectrum to have adjustment issues after a birth of a sibling. Since he is autistic and most likely is obsessed with routine its logical that having a new person in the home is really messing with his usual routine. He may not have the verbal ability to discuss his feelings or needs and its logical that the parents are most likely having to split time between him and his sibling or have him wait for things. This could be where he sees being first in line as a way to ensure his needs are not over looked. He probably does not have the understanding that the newborn cant wait for things like food or a diaper change where he can in theory wait for those items.

I hope they can find a solution. I would encourage a visit to a therapist that speciallizes in children with autism in order for him to be able to communicate his needs, weather its through sign, art or direct speech. It may also be a case where the family dynamic would benefit from overall family therapy.

Thanks tncrunchymom, I think you are right. The Autism team will be visiting our room this coming Monday. Looking forward to having their input. I too, believe that the family should seek a therapist. Not sure about their insurance coverage, it might be limited. Another thing, is this little guy loves in Lightning McQueen. So I try to tell him that lightning McQueen isn't always first, sometimes he helps his friends. I also have a social story that we read that sometimes helps. But I too think the baby, although he loves him dearly, totally messed with his routine. I just wish I could make everything work out for him. Just think the world of the little guy I work :)
