Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

Let me just say no more massages at that establishment. I go once a month to a masseuse, and then whenever the wife and I are in DC we go for Chinese acupressure massage in Georgetown. This is the first time I ever had to seek medical care after a massage! So they are off the list! Be careful who you trust to give you a massage!

If you have pain in the chest you may have had a rib put out of place bynthe massage. I am sure I would've been just as scared as you chest pain no fun.

When the masseuse walked into the room I thought you've gotta be kidding me. This woman was probably 80 years old, with some of the most arthritic-looking hands I've ever seen. I actually felt bad that I was going to make this poor woman massage me.
I'm not sure where this woman got her strength from, but she had it in spades. Several times during the massage, I had to say, "Ouch! Ease up a little, you're hurting me!" I was sore for several days after that.
I feel comfortable telling this story hiding behind my internet anonymity, but believe me, there are very few people who will ever hear the story about how I got a massage from an 80-year old arthritic grandmother and that it was too intense for me.
this from a guy who has little experience with massages...
