Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Like you, I have started taking a little caffeine, it does not seem to bother me. I also take a little alcohol on occasion. I react badly to SALT, MSG, sugar substitutes (I use Truvia and honey) and overeating. I try hard not to overdo work. I've gotten my work project under control, so I rarely need to work two days in a row (then again, I'm a bit older than you).
On the vitamin/mineral front I take Zinc, Omega 3 fish oil, CQ10, potassium, magnesium, mega B, multi, and aloe.
We all need to see what works for us. With AFIB, one size definitely does not fit all!
Yeah, overeating..geez, I used to LOVE that "I am going to explode" feeling, after eating too much...now, it is INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. Christmas the wife and I went to see...oh crap, SENIOR moment...Miranda? at the Kennedy Center..those of you with kids can help me...show about a little girl who goes to school in England, where the headmistress refers to the kids as "maggots" and worse. Kids book...anyway, we ate WAY too much at the KC restaurant, and I was MISERABLE through the entire first act...not cuz the play was weird, either. I MUST stop that! Getting one of those "dunlap" tummies...still trying to fight it, but geez, it is tough when you get older!
Still lovin' those Philly cheesesteaks Bill

I guess I do ok, at 66 I still do 3 hours in the gym 3x a week (but I need to take a nap afterwards -g-)
