I'm having a tooth pulled and my cardiologist told me I have to be off for 24 hours before. I take Xarelto and I am in afib all the time. This makes me a little nervous. Is this a big risk or not?

I have had to go off of Paradaxa several times a yr. for dental extractions and other things. I have been told to not take it for 48 hours. Pradaxa takes 48 hours to clear the body.
I am sure your Dr. knows the best time for you to be off of Xarelto.
I did have a problem with the epinephrine used to numb me. It put me into afib. It doesn't affect everyone the same, but, it sure is something I stay away from now!!!!!! There are alternatives they can use, if you don't want to take that chance.
