Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Hello Everyone. I'm sorry I haven't sent an update sooner, but it's been a hectic couple of weeks to say the least.
My chest scan showed that I have a mass on my right kidney which is cancerous. I had two more scans today of my abdomen and pelvis, and all is well. Everything is fine and normal. The cancer is contained and I will have my kidney, or part of it removed through arthroscopic surgery within a month. The doctor said I could have had this for ten years. I was terrified and my anxiety level was through the roof, but thanks to the prayers of my family, friends and all of you, I am going to be ok. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Please say a prayer that my surgery goes well. This is a good day.

Things are moving fast. Saw the urologist today who will be doing the surgery. He said they will remove the whole kidney, and I will be home the next day and is very optimistic. I liked him very much. He is very thorough and upbeat.
Orchard 25, there does not seem to be a link between this and afib. I can't believe I'm saying this, but thanks to the afib it led to me finding this in time.

So sorry to hear about the result of your scan :-( But, it is great that your afib caused to identify the problem early enough. I wish you lots of luck and success in your upcoming surgery. I am sure everything will go well for you.
