Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I went to my cardiologist on Monday. He said the echo showed that I have fluid around my heart. He said the most common reason for this is a virus, but I am scheduled for a chest ct scan and a mammogram tomorrow to rule anything else out. I'm emotionally exhausted being the worry wort that I am. Please pray that my scans have good results. Will keep you all posted.

Thinking of you Mary Ann. You are in my thoughts and prayers and hope the rest of your tests/scans come out okay. I know it is tough not to worry but try hard to stay calm. Just try to remind yourself that worrying will not fix the issue (easier said than done I know :). Please do keep us posted. Take care, Carrie

Am praying for u that everything will turn out well;) I am a terrible "worry wart" too. I am trying to take each day at a time!.Hopefully the infection is the cause of your problems and can be taken care of.
