Good Morning! Hope all is well with the group. It's been awhile, I've been focusing on weight loss and exercise. But another bump in the road has presented itself and I know somebody out here will be able to assist.

I'm still on Atenolol (50mg), Avapro (300mg), HCTZ (25mg) and 81mg of aspirin. My EP still refuses to put me on Coumadin or Pradaxa (I'm ok with the Pradaxa thing with everything I've seen in the news lately) as he has deemed my aftib to be "lone". It still happens, not very often and I self correct within 30 seconds, anyway that's a discussion for another day.

My concern for today is: looks like my gallbladder function is decreasing (HIDA scan showed me at 27%) and my attacks are more frequent. Currently, in the middle of a 5 day attack (cholocystitis), had ultrasound yesterday (pprimary looking for infection, stones, etc.), the surgeon saw me in June, wanted me to lose weight (17 lbs and counting) and then we'd discuss surgery, when he returned from Afghanistan (Navy Reserve) in September.

So, to make a long story continuous, he knows about my afib, doesn't seem concerned, but I am...I feel like if I have the surgery I will die because of this pesky heart thing, but then if I don't , well you get the idea. This is definitely not a win/win situation. Any thoughts?
