Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Are you staying Hydrated? Try a glass of low sodium V-8 Juice?
I am no expert on relationships (my very best was with a Feral Kitty) but, I do know, anxiety can put me in afib. Once I wanted so much to go to an art supply sale in a neighboring city. Traffic is awful going there. I planned to get up early and go. I woke in afib. I took my beta blocker and when daylight came, I went for my mini jog around the block. Usually when I raise my HR for about 20 I will convert. Not this time. I think I even took Rhythmol. I stayed in afib til way after the time I had wanted to leave. I was frustrated. I gave up the thought of going.
I took my camera and went for a stroll around the neighborhood to enjoy the scenery figured I would just stay home and relax.....I converted!
So, here is a yoga session that I like. It is very simple. The idea of this is to focus on YOU. The stretches always feel good, but the breathing technique is useful. "Accept the things I cannot change, and change the things I can"
