Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group

Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I've been spending my time on http://forum.stopafib.org/ since the change here. I always felt that stopafib forum had the best information and that this forum was like a happy family... a lot of support and empathy... but I'm not feeling it now... it feels like no-one's home.

It does feel like nobody's home.....I miss our happy family too.
Let's not give up on it yet. It does take more effort to follow this forum now, but our afib family is worth it.

The happy family thing hits the nail on the head. Where’s Bill? Where’s Paul? C’mon guys, post stuff so we can concentrate on that and not on the web design. I’m sure in time we’ll be able to navigate this site. Carpe diem. atp

I wasn't as active as some or you, but I enjoyed that aspect of the site. Unfortunately, I don't believe I will ever like this iteration of daily strength. It is clumsy and hard to navigate. I can't think of anything to say that's good about this site except that there are still some of the same folks here. Today when I tried to get to the afib group, I couldn't get it to bring up my two support groups. It gave me a newsfeed from both groups but didn't single out the afib. I had to get to it by going a back door route - click on an afib header, then click on the very small and light colored print in the upper left corner that says "Back to All Posts". Fortunately, it was all posts in this support group and not the other one.

So, do you think they hired the same people that worked on the Obama Care web sites? Seems like the results are similar.

Outside of not remembering which email I entered to start using this site years back, and finally having the B12 infusion kick in today, Im not seeing why this site is that much different than the last one? We still get to come on and opine. Stopafib site may be more user friendly, but the thought police are out in force daily.
