Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Dr gave me amoxicillin for my sinus infection and Coricidin HBP(no decongestant)for my symptoms. Now my resting heartrate has gone from 72 to 105. Anyone have any idea which drug is causing it? Thanks
72 to 105 is a jump. Ive never heard of the two medicines so I googled them. For amoxicillin I came up with nothing that sounded like it might cause trouble (except if you take Coumadin your INR might sink) but it looks like the Coricidin HBP could be the culprit.

Maybe you should call your doctor and see what he/she thinks.
