hi,
i am nervous to share this but i take the diaogen , metrophol 50 mg and warafin 10 mg a day .
i am feeling lately i have an issue with my intimacy level .i am not as xcited as i use to be and this is causing a strain in my life .
my partner doesnt say anything but i can tell she is also frustrated .

i have been diaognized with afib and for last month i have felt no sexual feeling .

is this normal should i ask the doctor for different level of medicine .can any one else share .

The medications can definitely effect your sex drive and performance. It is very common. There is no choice but to take the meds, because you have to live.
So let me ask you some questions:

When did you start taking metoprolol and the other meds?
What are you having problems with - sex drive or the actual act itself?

Regardless of what's going on and whether it will improve or not I would talk to your partner and tell her that you are having issues and then take some steps to ensure your intimacy does not disappear - like give her extra attention, compliment her on her looks, etc and buy some toys and experiment with them.

If you were just put on metoprolol I would not be surprised by what's going on. It takes a minimum of 3 months to get used to this medication, sometimes more if they are playing with your dosages.

In any case, this is not the end of the world and you will be ok as long as you and your lady have an open communication.

thanks , i am on metriphol for one month so far , my partner has no problem i do feel guilty i am not able to have the erection as i use to be .
she is ok with it but me i guess typical male has an issue with it .

When my husband went on a lot of BP meds the first thing the Dr. asked him was if he wanted something for his sex drive. These meds cause you to lose everything. Ask your Dr. about Viagra. Our Dr. was going to write him a perscription but we're in our 70's and he said he didn't really care about it. But they do have meds to help this problem and you really should ask your Dr.

I would guess (as a senior male also with challenges) that the mixture of meds and perhaps anxiety are the cause. ask the doc and search the internet about drug side effects. sadly, sometimes the docs are clueless and their easy answer is Viagra. I still have the two pill samples my urologist gave me - and the unfilled prescription. as a user of supplements I chose to experiment on my own and with the active support of my lady, we are doing just fine. perhaps addressing the issue as a team and with less pressure you will work things out.
that will be 5 cents please...
